Loek Koopmans (1943)

Loek Koopmans is jarenlang uitsluitend illustrator geweest. Hij maakte sfeervolle aquareltekeningen voor prentenboeken, tijdschriften, kinderboeken en schoolboeken. De laatste jaren ontwikkelt hij zich meer en meer in vrij werk. Kleurrijke olieverfschilderijen waarin de natuur vaak centraal staat. De surrealistische landschappen komen tot stand vanuit de herinnering en het gevoel en niet uit directe waarneming. Ook indringende portretten behoren tot zijn kunstuiting.
