I was born in Florence, Italy. And I am living in Amsterdam. I started to study art at the "Art High School" of Florence and I continued at the University of Bologna "Dams" (Disciplines of Visual Arts, Music and Performing Arts), where I graduated with Laude in 2005 and I won the DAMS prize.
In 2006 I moved to Amsterdam where I took part to a project at the "Piet Zwart Institute" Master in Fine Art, Rotterdam.
In 2007 I started the "Gerrit Rietveld Academie", Fine Art department, where I graduated this year (2009), and I was nominated to the Gra Prize.

My work:
My work is coming out from the need to communicate and express a vision about certain social mechanisms I am struggling with. The main leitmotivs of my research are control, power, fear and fake. In the work I make use of certain mechanisms of power expressed mainly through body and movement, and communicated through the involvement of the body of the viewer. The multidisciplinary form that my work takes: video, live performance, sound installation, photography and object, often presents a placement of elements out of context, and a coexistence of irony and drama.
